Are you ready to be responsible for providing technical services for the Park 500 campus with Philip Morris USA?  If so, then we have an opportunity for you!

 

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager Maintenance & Engineer to join our team in Chester, VA.

 

Key Responsibilities:      

  • Lead the engineering department by identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities while strategically aligning resources for the future of manufacturing at Park 500.
  • Lead the maintenance department by monitoring reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities and making data driven decisions by reviewing monthly KPIs.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a highly technical skilled workforce who impact on the performance and quality of all Park 500 equipment.
  • Perform management and administrative responsibilities for the maintenance and engineering departments, including performance appraisals, coaching, feedback, and organizational planning.
  • Develop and manage fixed budgets, capital budget, and a non-recurring expense budget, while adhering to all financial policies/procedures and fiduciary responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the indirect materials group and contractors to support process and utility improvement initiatives, as well as identifying gaps in spare parts strategy.
  • Promote cooperative labor management relations by building trust with IAM through problem solving, effective communication, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with IS to ensure resources and calendars are aligned for system enhancements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop enhancements to existing systems as safety and environmental module accountable.
  • Collaborate with the Quality department to prepare for the FDA’s implementation of TPMPs.

 

Qualifications/Skills Include: 

  • Bachelor's degree in technical related field (e.g., Engineering/Science) required.
  • Eight to ten years’ experience working in a technical role in a unionized environment required.
  • Prior experience leading others in a unionized facility.
  • Prior experience leading and developing a team of technical employees in engineering and maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze data to drive decision making.
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with leading projects and building and maintaining budgets.
  • Action-oriented – Self Motivated
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver presentations to Senior Management.
  • Demonstrated manufacturing process expertise and problem-solving skills to identify, develop and lead implementation of broadly applicable projects.
  • Understanding of and experience administering labor agreements - especially as they relate to determining work assignments, overtime allocation and job assignments.
  • Ability to perform duties in a manufacturing environment
  • On call 24/7 for issues that may arise across the campus.

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $132,500.00 - $202,100.00.
