We are currently seeking a highly qualified Team Lead (Business Unit Leader/Production Supervisor) to join us at our Park 500 Processing Facility in Chester, VA. You will manage resources and staffing levels within the unit to meet safety, production, compliance, team and project objectives or goals.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Independently manage the daily operations of a Line Structure Team to fulfill business objectives in an IWS environment.  This includes managing both operations and maintenance hourly personnel.
  • Communicating status of key measures to assure your employees know where they are in meeting productivity and quality goals; perform reconciliation activities at end of shift.
  • Building individual and organizational capability within your shift as you address the needs of the business and your people.
  • Independently leading and/or completing medium to large-scale projects requiring the application of business-specific technical practices and procedures.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities, initiating as well as participating in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitoring, and in some instances developing, key measures with your team to link business unit performance to factory and manufacturing-wide objectives or strategy
  • Communicating and coordinating production and planned activities of business unit with team members and support resources to meet established schedules and assure effective execution of work processes.
  • Converting data to meaningful information to support and as well as bring focus to problem solving and process improvement efforts.
  • Participating and/or leading Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) and Change Control initiatives.
  • Understanding and applying elements of Contractual Agreements with the Labor Unions on site.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Associates degree OR four (4) year state approved apprenticeship and at least three (3) years relevant leadership experience is required.
  • In lieu of the education requirement, a candidate can qualify with five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing or relevant leadership role.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems requirements, Quality Management Systems and Integrated Work Systems (IWS) within manufacturing.
  • You have confirmed ability to effectively mentor and lead employees in a team-based environment
  • You possess a proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • You can make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal direction when required.
  • You can build consensus for resource needs, problem solving and solutions with peers, subordinates and management through networks within and beyond the business unit or department.

 

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $91,500.00 - $128,850.00.
