We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Manager, Maintenance to join us at our Manufacturing Center in King of Prussia, PA.
The person in this position is a member of the manufacturing leadership team who is primarily responsible for leading the maintenance department personnel and activities across all three shifts. They ensure production is supported and the upkeep of John Middleton Company’s King of Prussia manufacturing plant, property, and equipment while adhering to business rules and meeting or exceeding all internal and external regulatory requirements. The individual is a people leader who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and interested in the success of the department and business.
What you will be doing:
- Provide overall leadership, development, and direction to the maintenance team and maintenance infrastructure
- Support and execute initiatives surrounding all policies and procedures
- Find and source parts, right-size and maintain inventory – includes working with equipment OEMs and outside vendors as needed
- Support and share ID&E initiatives with team
- Communicate maintenance activities and development plans to plant leadership
- Develop and execute spring and winter shutdown work as part of an overall maintenance strategy
- Perform regular performance reviews, provide feedback and final ratings for maintenance personnel
- Other duties as assigned
What we want you to have:
- Bachelor degree preferred
- 6+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment is required; with at least 3+ years in a People Leader role is preferred
- Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment is required.
- Understanding of technical manuals/drawings (process instrument and device, single line, etc)
- Proven experience in facilities and manufacturing equipment, utilities, building and property maintenance
- You can draw on knowledge and experience to resolve problems, identify needs, and apply logic / deductive reasoning to develop and implement lasting solutions
- You possess a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- You can make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal supervision when required
- You can negotiate and build consensus for resource needs, problem solving and solutions with peers, subordinates and management through networks within and beyond the business unit or department
- Must have the ability to make real-time decisions that impact the safety of all employees and performance of the business
- Machine shop and metal fabrication experience is preferred
- You are open to working 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts is required
