Altria Group Distribution Company is seeking a Lead Specialist Account Operations to support our top customers. This position can be done remotely but will require the candidate to travel for in-person account meetings, field visits and internal meetings.
As the Lead Specialist Account Operations, your role will be to drive operational excellence to create the best in-store experience for the Adult Consumer and lead investigative processes to standardize and automate repetitive tasks and manual work. You will do this by developing strategic solutions through a data-driven approach and in collaboration with your Account Team(s), Account stakeholders and the Field Sales Force (FSF).
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate externally with Account Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Pricing, Wholesale, and Operations teams, and internally with AGDC Account Team stakeholders, HQ, and FSF to support planning and execution of strategic goals and initiatives. Focus areas include pricing, inventory/assortment, merchandising and internal/external engagement.
- Analyze category performance and provide actionable recommendations to achieve account and company objectives.
- Develop clear, effective internal and external communications to ensure successful retail execution.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and streamline processes to drive efficiency at scale.
- Leverage tools and data sources to design processes and measure plan effectiveness.
- Champion a culture of engagement, collaboration, and inclusion, serving as a role model for these behaviors.
What we want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in sales and account management preferred.
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, without formal authority, to determine and execute priorities that align with the business objectives.
- Demonstrate collaborative leadership, effectively working with a team and leading without direct reports, while communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to build rapport and trust by seeking to understand different perspectives and experiences, gaining commitment, and inspiring action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation and influencing abilities.
- Proficient in planning and prioritizing, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks autonomously.
- Strong sense of urgency, curiosity and demonstrated resiliency.
- Possesses strong problem-solving, strategic and critical thinking skills, with the creativity to explore innovative solutions.
- Experience in analyzing complex data sets from multiple sources and effectively communicating and measuring execution plans.
- High level of proficiency with MS Office applications preferred.
