We are actively recruiting for a Manager, Law M&A to join the Law Department in Richmond, VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements.
This position will involve working on a team that is responsible for all of Altria’s M&A transactions. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from inquisitive, collaborative colleagues and do exciting work that enables the success of our employees and businesses.
What you will be doing:
- Provide support in the various stages of exploration of domestic and international M&A activities, including acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, equity investments and other complex transactions, from inception through integration.
- Draft and review confidentiality agreements and other transaction documents.
- Support company due diligence efforts.
- Assist with ongoing obligations for past transactions, including review of past transaction documents.
- Summarize key agreement terms and maintain confidentiality agreement and other agreement charts.
- Assist with presentation generation and management.
- Maintain an organized database of transaction documents.
We want you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Paralegal Studies.
- 8 years’ experience in the legal field with 5+ years of experience supporting attorneys in M&A practice areas.
- Understanding of confidentiality agreements, M&A processes, and strategic transactions.
- Mix of law firm and in-house experience a plus.
- Demonstrated project management experience and management of multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail.
The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $116,200.00 - $168,400.00.
