Altria is looking for a Principal Sales Solutions Engineer to drive transformative digital programs with leading chain and third-party accounts. In this role, you’ll be the technical force behind solutions that boost customer engagement and fuel business growth.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead technical discovery, solution design, and implementation support for Altria’s digital products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders (engineering, loyalty, digital, IT, etc.).
  • Translate account needs into tailored solutions, ensuring successful deployment and measurable results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on data, reporting, and reconciliation requests.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across software, networking, and hardware solutions, while mentoring peers to expand their technical skillsets.

What we want you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5–7 years as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar technical sales/implementation role (quota-carrying experience preferred).
  • Working proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
  • Experience engaging with enterprise accounts.
  • Desire to expand expertise in the CPG vertical through hands-on training.

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience in the CPG or retail sector.
  • Background in professional services or software engineering.
  • Familiarity with retail technology stacks (POS hardware such as Gilbarco, NCR, Verifone; multi-network servicing such as Mako, Cybera, Accumera).
  • Knowledge of loyalty platforms and underlying networking protocols.

 

 

 

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $133,600.00 - $193,750.00.
