We are currently seeking a highly qualified Electrical Equipment Specialist to join our Philip Morris USA team in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical technical support to manufacturing operations in our Richmond production facility, assisting in capability building efforts to improve systems and processes and maximizing productivity across assets to drive out losses through Integrated Work Systems (IWS). The successful candidate will also serve as a technical resource for developing new solutions to meet our business objectives.
You must be willing to working any shift:
- A-Shift (7:00am – 3:00pm)
- B-Shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm)
- C-Shift (11:00pm – 7:00am)
What you will be doing:
- Using specialized knowledge of packaging machinery and/or processes to analyze and troubleshoot machinery problems in support of factory electrical maintenance personnel
- Writing maintenance alerts and developing specialized documentation
- Building capability in others by providing formal and informal training, writing maintenance alerts and developing specialized documentation
- Analyzing data and applying problem solving techniques to facilitate design improvements for methods, processes, products, systems, documentation, and equipment
- Contributing to the development of maintenance planning activities
- Contributing to the development of project schedules, estimates and resource plans
- Participating in technical meetings with OEMs to resolve issues with machinery
- Assisting in the development of and recommending spare parts lists for machinery and technical alternatives
- Assisting in the development and execution of test plans and evaluations
- Performing all job functions and activities in a safe manner
We want you to have:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or minimum 5 years’ work experience in electrical technical field
- Strong familiarity with high-speed packaging equipment
- Allen Bradley controls architecture experience
- Three to five years’ experience troubleshooting packaging equipment
- Strong familiarity with computer equipment and applications such as spreadsheets, databases, word processors, and computerized maintenance management systems
- Familiarity with common tests, measurement, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to bend, crawl and climb to inspect equipment
- Ability to manage demanding time constraints
- Ability to prioritize work based on current demands
- Willingness to work other shifts and/or weekend schedule as needed
The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $80,800.00 - $118,750.00.
