Are you ready to lead the modernization of trade payment systems at one of the most recognized names in consumer goods? Altria Group Distribution Company is seeking a Senior Manager, Trade Payment Systems to drive innovation, automation, and transformation across our trade and CPG promotions payment infrastructure.

 

This role is central to Altria’s consumer goods modernization strategy, enabling scalable, low-touch execution of trade payments while supporting the evolution of our Trade Promotions Management (TPM) systems. You’ll lead a high-performing team, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless migration to future-state platforms—all while improving operational efficiency and accuracy.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the execution of current and future trade promotional payments through legacy and evolving systems.
  • Analyze and document technical and non-technical payment workflows to identify process improvements.
  • Manage a team of four direct reports (Technology, Product, and Associate Managers) with clear objectives and coaching.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and software transitions, including wind-down and innovation planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation across payment processes using BPA, AI and digital transformation tools.
  • Facilitate change management to ensure smooth adoption of new TPM solutions.

What we want you to have:

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • MS, MBA (experience may substitute)
    • CPA / CMA / CFA

Experience:

    • 3+ years in accounting, FP&A or similar.
    • 2+ years people management
    • 1+ year in trade marketing or related commercial functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience with retail or trade payments
    • Proficiency in SQL/Python, data science
    • Proficiency in automation design
    • Experience with TPM software and claims management

Skills:

    • Process improvement and optimization

    • Data analysis (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python)

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $128,700.00 - $196,200.00.
