We are currently seeking a highly qualified Training Instructor, Electrical to join us at our Manufacturing Facility in Richmond, VA. You will be responsible for providing technical training to personnel in the Richmond Manufacturing Center to meet business objectives relative to manufacturing equipment.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver and make improvements on current training programs and/or other technical documentation within the training department
  • Identify and recommend new training and development opportunities for the work force using established training principles (can include safety, quality, problem solving, decision making, maintenance, or production)
  • Able to deliver training through multiple outlets (including in person, hands-on, or virtually) while monitoring progress of the trainees and maintaining accurate training records
  • Active role in the learning management system (LMS) development, implementation, and maintenance as it pertains to the technical training department
  • Support development cycle for new hires, apprentices, and general workforce
  • Act as an SME where needed throughout the factory

What we want you to have:

  • Associates or higher technical degree level with at least 2 years of experience in a technical field is preferred. Some training background preferred
  • 5+ years of experience can be substituted for education
  • Experience with Beckhoff, Rockwell Automation preferred
  • Strong familiarity with computers and common software such as the Microsoft Suite Familiarity with SAP, CMMS, LMS, Camtasia and/or other business software is preferred.
  • Experience and passion for developing others
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal direction
  • Ability to draw on knowledge and experience to resolve problems, identify needs, and apply logic / deductive reasoning to develop and implement lasting solutions
  • You possess a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment
  • Skills in strategic thinking, problem solving, troubleshooting, decision making, and organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to bend, crawl and climb to inspect equipment
  • Use of PPE is required

 

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $80,800.00 - $118,750.00.
