Altria Client Services is seeking a strategic, business-focused Senior Manager, Business Relationship Management - Legal & External Affairs to support Enterprise Services Strategy in Richmond, VA.

 

As a strategic advisor and business technology partner, you will support strategic planning, align investments to enterprise priorities, and ensure the right capabilities are delivered to drive measurable business outcomes.

What you will be doing:

  • Serving as a trusted strategic advisor to senior Enterprise Services partners in Legal, Government Affairs, Corporate Citizenship, and Enterprise Insights.
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with business leaders to understand strategic objectives, organizational priorities, operational challenges, and future capabilities needed to achieve business outcomes.
  • Providing proactive technology consulting and guidance, while managing expectations to shape business technology strategy, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Leading the development, prioritization, and execution of technology and business capability roadmaps and portfolios based on business impact, readiness, compliance, and enterprise value; remain accountable for delivery quality and outcomes.
  • Leading the development of business capability roadmaps and multi-year technology strategy portfolios that support Legal, Government Affairs, Corporate Citizenship, and Enterprise Insights priorities.
  • Building dedicated cases by clearly quantifying and articulating value, benefits, risks, dependencies, and investment considerations for new initiatives.
  • Leading all aspects of portfolio budgets in partnership with PMO and Finance.
  • Representing supported business domains in technology governance forums, collaborating with architecture, data, delivery and operations teams Enterprise to ensure effective planning and execution; remain accountable for delivery quality and outcomes.
  • Provide insight into strategic technology portfolios, programs, and initiatives, helping leaders make informed decisions and manage tradeoffs.
  • Quantifying, communicating and handling the value of digital investments, including efficiency gains, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
  • Driving innovation by identifying new/emerging technologies, champion change and encourage adoption and continuous improvement across operational and cross-functional Enterprise Services teams.

We want you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Organizational Leadership or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business technology roles with demonstrated focus on strategy, delivery, and business partner engagement.
  • Legal, Government Affairs, Corporate Citizenship, Communications, and Enterprise Insights domain experience, strongly preferred with the ability to translate operational priorities into technology solutions.
  • Confirmed experience supporting enterprise‑wide digital transformation initiatives and delivering measurable business value.
  • Experience building cases, capability roadmaps, strategic portfolios, and value realization frameworks
  • Strong customer‑service orientation with exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to align business strategy with digital capabilities, influence outcomes, and build trusted relationships with senior business leaders.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and collaborator engagement skills, with experience working in agile environments and multi-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while handling complex initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP®, ITIL®, Agile Certifications, Prosci Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, BRMP (Business Relationship Management Professional) or Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM®) are preferred.

 

 

 

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $132,500.00 - $202,100.00.
