We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Vendor Managed Inventory to join the Altria Group Distrubition Company (AGDC) Trade Distribution Team.
The Senior Manager, Vendor Managed Inventory provides strategic leadership for AGDC's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program, a key customer-facing supply chain capability. This role is responsible for a material portion of enterprise revenue managed through the VMI program and serves as a leader for several of Altria's largest wholesale distribution relationships. As the program continues to expand, this position will play a critical role in shaping future capabilities, customer partnerships, and business outcomes. Success in this role can come from a variety of leadership backgrounds, including supply chain, customer supply chain, planning, distribution, sales operations, or related business functions.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for inventory planning, replenishment execution, and customer collaboration across AGDC's wholesale distribution network. This position is preferred for location in Altria headquarters in Richmond, Virginia; some travel will be required throughout the year.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of AGDC's Vendor Managed Inventory program, ensuring alignment to customer, AGDC, and Enterprise priorities.
- Own inventory performance across a portfolio representing a significant share of enterprise revenue, translating demand, inventory, and supply signals into effective replenishment and inventory strategies.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with wholesale distribution customers, fostering trust, collaboration, and mutual success. Serve as a strategic advisor by helping customers navigate business challenges, identify opportunities, and achieve shared business objectives.
- Identify risks and opportunities across the customer network and develop strategies that improve customer experience, inventory performance, business results, and the overall strength of customer partnerships.
- Partner across Sales, Customer Supply Chain, Trade Distribution, Finance, and IT to deliver business results and enhance customer outcomes.
- Provide AGDC leadership with insights and recommendations that drive informed decision making and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, building organizational capability through coaching, talent development, organizational design, and leading teams through change while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
What we want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA/Master's or equivalent experience preferred
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain, customer supply chain, demand planning, inventory management, or related leadership roles
- Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, replenishment, and wholesale distribution operations
- Experience leveraging planning, forecasting, and inventory management systems to drive business decisions and improve operational performance
- Demonstrated success building trusted partnerships and influencing customers and stakeholders through thoughtful recommendations, collaboration, and shared problem-solving
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships, earning trust, navigating complex business situations, and creating mutually beneficial outcomes
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams with a focus on coaching, capability building, organizational effectiveness, and change leadership
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear business recommendations
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution in a fast-paced environment

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $132,500.00 - $202,100.00.
